I just wanted to say great job Sunday night in Baltimore guys. My son and I had a great time. I would have enjoyed a longer set list but I realize a sunday night show in an over heated small club in the sewer of existence that is Baltimore is not going to have a long set. Nonetheless it was a great show. I have to say Lasarus was a nice addition and Skeleton had some decent tunes as well. Lasarus very much reminded me of DRI. I kept waiting for them to say "Beneath the wheel." Goatwhore, though friendly, was just not my cup of tea but the crowd seemed to really like them. I would have much preferred The Absense.

My son and I are going to try to come to Germany and other places in Europe next summer to see some of the real shows. Maybe then I will get to hear Thousand Years live.

That song is absolutely beautiful if sung live!!!
It's been a year since I first heard 1000 years and I can still remember it as if it happened yesterday.

Yeah it was a very good show like usual. I agree about goatwhore, they seem like cool guys but I don't dig their music at all. Skeletonwitch seemed pretty good but I couldn't really tell because the sound at Sonar is so awful. I prefer seeing Amon at Ottobar or Jaxx, and I could be wrong but I believe I was the only guy there wearing bracers. I expected to see a lot more, and I don't think I saw a single drinking horn. I got a guitar pick from Ted and Johan S to add to my collection as well.

I have to admit Skeletonwitch surprised me,they were pretty good. Goatwhore...I spent most of the time outside smoking....maybe caught one or 2 songs when i came in for beer...but I thought it was cool watchin everyone form one big ass pit in the middle of the room.

Skeletonwitch are awesome. I saw them at a festival last year and despite it being early in the day they whipped up a significant pit. They also thrashed my balls off. Beneath The Permafrost is an excellent little album.

As far as AA...it's not even surprising live anymore. You pay for your ticket and they come onstage and kickass for an hour and a half. Very dependable. The openers vary significantly, though, from Sonic Syndicate (/wrists) to Skeletonwitch :)kickass:). COME BACK TO NEW ENGLAND

Weird, I thought Goatwhore was the best support band, and their last song, i think it was 'Carving out the eyes of god' was amazing. The other two were sick as well, but like HaloSlayer also said, i would have prefered the Absence to Lazarus

I'm not saying Goatwhore played poorly. They are just not my type of music. I guess I'm a little old fashioned. I enjoy music that I can understand the words. I know that is not the norm for most death metal. I enjoy the stories in songs as much as I enjoy the music; which makes bands, like Amon Amarth, King Diamond, Iron Maden and The Absense, my fovorites.

As for your bracers Josh, I saw about 4 or 5 others wearing them but I did not see any horns. I think people are more confortable bringing charished items like that to Jaxx than to Sonar. Most people don't want to bring items of value to downtown Baltimore. With all the gang violence and bums sleeping under the bridges I was afraid to leave my truck unattended for to long. I kept going out to check on it. The longest I stayed in there was for AA's set. Say, were those bracers bind on pick up? Just a little World of Warcraft humor.
