Another new drum tuner/tentioner

That'll work great assuming each of the lugs threads start in the exact same location radially, and that the drum head is the same exact thickness at every location that it touches the bearing edge, which of course is impossible. But it'll get ya close i guess.

That seems like a hassle TBH... I'll take the tune-bot ANY DAY, because it measures the pitch, and I know for sure I can get my drum's pitch back to the same tune every time.

That might be a bit of a time saver, but as far as fine tuning or getting back to the same pitch after changing heads, it's probably pretty useless. I've had good luck with speedy changes by getting that evans drill bit lug key and just using a cordless drill, then fine tuning with ye ol' Tune-Bot

Yeah doesn't seem great to me either. Though it could be a good tool if you need to do a quick head change and want to get all lugs to roughly the same tension quickly. It's certainly not going to get the drum "perfectly tuned" though.

I've really been getting on well with the Tension Watch lately, though I'm definitely gonna be trying to tune bot soon. Somehow I think the bearing edges on some of my drums are going to be my biggest problem though.

I hope nobody is stupid enough to think this thing will just magically make your drums in tune. In fact, I wouldn't use it for tuning drums personally (if I had one).

It does seem like a good idea to tension each lug uniformly though, then fine tune after. I would still hand turn each at least one rotation to avoid cross threading as has been stated.

My guess is that they will probably want to much for this system though (wouldn't shock me if they wanted $100 for this thing, which is IMO not worth it).
