I have little experience with watching video versions of live concerts. Howeever, I own the Rock In Rio DVD and that rocked. The stage was huge and over 250000 people in the audience. I've also seen Muse: Hullabaloo, live i Paris. About 40000 i think.

When it comes down to size and that sort of stuff at the shepherds bush gig, what can i expect?

it was about 2-3 thousand I'd say, but then I wasn't exactly counting heads.

The place wasn't that big.

Last year before the gig in Dublin this girl I know argued with me that Opeth would be playing somewhere huge like the Point Depot, it was a laugh! Turned out to be the smallest venue of all time lol.

As in the case with many things, the size of the gig doesn´t matter it is the atmosphere. Personally I actualy prefere "Small" concerts to attend as well as watching on video. First of all it´s not on a stadium which means no shitty sound, secondly I like the more "club-like" atmosphere where the band is is in contact with the audience. Finally the best live dvd I have ever watched is one of a "small" concert. It´s called "Live at Budokan" by Ozzy Osbourne. Fucking amazing heavy metal sound can recomend to anyone who are into that.
