Antares AVP 1 as guitar pre amp?

I have the Antares AVP, auto tune vocal rack and just wondering if it would be possible to use it as a guitar pre amp? It has a compressor/gate function and an equaliser. Just seeing if there would be any point in running my guitar through the vocal rack then into my interface (focusrite saffire)?
