AnthemFest cancelled?

Hey guys, just heard that AnthemFest in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where DT were supposed to be appearing too has been postponed, but with so many productions here in Israel being canceled, I get the feeling that this one just might get canceled too.

Is that true? Any idea when's it gonna be, if at all?

Really weird stuff...
I saw this "announcement" only on the Opeth site...
No other band that I checked, nor did the production website, publish any statement on the subject.
So officially we're still supposed to get something in 5 days from today.

I already prepared myself for it to get canceled when I first heard these news.. So I was quite surprised that there's no mention of this in some important places...

"[Aug 10, 2008] - Tel Aviv show cancelled !!!

We are sad to announce that the Tel Aviv festival has been cancelled...

The israeli promoters have cancelled the festival due to 'security issues' and intend to reschedule the festival at a later date. However, it's very unlikely that The Haunted will be a part of this rescheduled date."

It's definitely cancelled. We didn't get the news before departing to Italy on friday morning, so I couldn't update the homepage until now.

That really sucks. I was really looking forward to seeing DT, Opeth, The Haunted and Nevermore. Opeth has already announced that it will appear in Israel with a full set in 2009, so I'm really hoping the other bands would as well...

usually middle eastren metal fests get canacled *example morroco, egypt, and soon lebanon* except for DDRF ( dubai desert rock festival)

so dont be surprised if it really got canceld!
