I don't know what drugs the band took, but this new disc Alive 2 ... they sound better than in their prime ... fucking pure rifferama ... Benante, destroys his drums, Bello smokes on bass and the clockmaker and Jew just fucking shred.

Joey, proves why he is so much of a better frontman than Bush.

Anyone heard it, anyone care?

Sound of White Noise is great no doubt ... best of the Bush era discs ... but NOT what Anthrax was all about ... sounds innovative and "different" and they pull it off .... BUT ...

I saw anthrax with joey a month ago. They fucking rocked. I'm pretty sure they're playing with JP next weekend. Should rock again.

SOWN was almost prog in Anthrax world ... and they pulled it off ... then they just sucked.

It was the wrong 5 people vibing off eachother in the studio ... conflict does create better and angrier music ... Bush is too much of a nice guy

Bush is a vastly superior singer. But "Spreading the Disease" and "Among the Living" are my two favorite Anthrax discs.

Yeah, we just played that Caught In a Mosh on the latest episode of MSRCAST, and I have mixed feelings. I have seen Anthrax with Joey at their best (Persistence of Time), seen them with Bush touring with Pantera back in like 96 or 97.... Both put on phenomenal shows.....

But, I gotta agree lurch, having seen Bush with Armored Saint on the Symbols of Salvation tour (with Wrathchild America and Last Crack ), he is soooooo much better with the Saint. They write classic songs together.
