Any 6 string bassists out there?

While I'm not a bass player, in my travels I came across this site:

The basses shown there seem much more like what I would consider a 12 string bass to be, rather than the chapman stick like ones.

I play an Ibanez 6 string. Took some time to get used to but I love it.

Although the main focus in Dream Theater isn't the bass (it's all the instruments), they all pretty much like to wank as much as possible. Nothing against them - I love Dream Theater - but more strings = more chances to unison the wanking guitar and keyboard lines.

Exactly. They need to get some 11-string guitars, 9 string basses, and Bösendorfer grand pianos.
