I like Adagio a lot, they are the hope of progressive/neoclassical metal and the new keyboardist is in the same league of virtusos such as Vitalij Kuprij or Tony Macalpine

Well a few months ago Stephan mentioned to me that they had planned to hit the states during their south american tour sometime next year, but dont take that as a definate yes, things can fall through or never eventuate.. but keep a little hope.
I'm also an Akashic fan, tho theyre very mellow, also looking forward to their second cd though not sure when its coming out.
yes, akashic is good, thats where i got the v01c354nd51gn5 thing from kinda (one of their songs is called Voices And Signs), and can someone please send me a link to a site where i can order their cd ... preferably a site that accepts US $ and is in english so i know what im doing.

Adagio fuckin kick ass....SI is awesome, Im actually on my second copy, but Underworld floored me, I also have both the imports.

Ive actually conducted a test at my work. I sent both a copy of Underworld and a copy of Odyssey around like 10 (my age (22) to around age 38 all but 1 a Male) of my friends at work and actually only 1 liked SyX better...in fact I had to make like 8 copys of Underworld for em all cause they bugged me so much for the CD..Now im starting to get everyone hooked on Ayreon and Evergrey..Im like the Preacher of Prog...lol...

well i cant find anywhere to order akashics timeless realm.. the only place i know of is in portugese, luckily i got it all downloaded (cough and burned cough..hey not that i choose to steal it, if they make it available to buy i will buy)
I've had Sanctus Ignis for a while, and I ordered Underworld 2 days ago. My expectations are high. From what I've gathered (clips), it features better songs, a new keyboard MONSTER, and even faster guitar solos (I've heard rumours of a rather insane "Sea Of Lies"-inspired passage in "Chosen"). Stephan is one of the most technically proficient shredders around today, but he always has a good sense of melody and feeling in his leads. Pretty good songwriter too, especially when it comes to classical arrangements. What also stuns me about this band is their bassist. This guy is a FREAK! He even sweeps, for chrissakes, and he's got the clearest, most focused tone (accurate technique) I've heard in a long while.
Overall, I don't think they sound THAT much like Symphony X, at least not anymore, and I think that in a couple of years, they will be just as good, if not better than SX, although David's vocals (albeit pretty good) will never quite compare to Russel's.
BTW, have they ever toured in other countries? The only concert dates I've seen of them have been in France, but should they want to play in some neighbouring countries, I'm sure Switzerland (where I live) would be one of the first.

aw dude ... Kevin Codfert's keyboard (and piano) work on Underworld are nothing short of "you'll crap you pants". if i wasnt a drummer, i'd be a keyboarder. and yeah, awesome bass sweeps. everyone already knows how good Forte is so i wont even start about him. all over great band/cds.

Eric is Yamaha endorser, and is at the moment rehearsing the songs for the tour.
You'll find information about Eric in the member page very soon and be sure to meet him at Montereau for the 1st Adagio show on the 8th of November !

AND WHAT IS THIS YAMAHA CRAP?!?!? ... it better be double bass with like 10 billion toms and cymbals. ::sigh:: well eric cant be that bad if he's in Aagio, and he has to know all of dirk's stuff. o well, we'll see. haha watch him be way better than Dirk and i just said all that, lol. im still an adagio fan no matter what
