explain to me why no one ever comes to edmonton... or even calgary. i mean play at least one date in alberta. like even syl. they're going to regina on their canadian tour thing, but can't come here? we're a bigger city and a better city. so is c-town. why would anyone go to saskatchewan anyway? people leave it, they don't come in. it's just the natural order of things.

Nobody seems to live in Ottawa. Also, no bands come here. Worst capital ever. The most popular band that I can recall playing around here was Quo Vadis, who kick total ass, but they aren't really that big.

I have said this numerous times...any metal band with a decent amount of popularity misses a chance of making good money when they don't play Calgary or Edmonton. I mean, I know at least 10 Opeth fans in the small group of my friends.

the only really good band that's played here in the past few months is Into Eternity, and the venue was packed for them. they only have a small fraction of fans that a band like Opeth has. both edmonton and calgary have around a million people, and alberta's population is something like 3.5 million. i think that's justification for any band that does a north american tour to play at least one date in alberta. maybe there aren't any good concert promoters in the area.
