Figured it was worth asking since it's somewhat relevant.
The Mountain Goats are one of the biggest bands in indie/folk. Mainman John Darnielle is known for being a HUGE metalhead -- he even had Erik Rutan of Hate Eternal fame produce half of the most recent album. Their music is well worth checking out for any fans of that style.
Anyway, point is, last night they did a set at the Hoppscotch Festival in Raleigh North Caroline. Two sets. One set of The Mountain Goats tunes and one set of metal covers! Everything from Dio to Gorguts to In Solitude to Darkthrone. This is the only video I can find online from the set so far and I'm sure most of you will recognize this track....
