Do you, good people, have any idea of what Symphony X will bring for us this time?!?!?!? Did anyone have the chance of hearing some of the new material?!?!?!? 
Any ideas about "The Odyssey" Songs?!?!

I haven't heard any of the material FORTUNATELY, (I can't wait for the new album to come through the post when released), but I have very good feelings about it. The Odyssey is a classic ancient greek epic including gods, monsters, heroes, etc; and the little mention by Romeo of it being heavier than what we are used to from Symphony X, this could be amazing. The Damnation Game was a great neo-classical album, TDWOT was a crisply produced innovative album, TIO was an improvement yet again and V was very orchestral and consistent, playing through like a story. Hopefully The Odyssey will be more like TDWOT or TIO in terms of Romeo's guitar production, but I expect it to be dramatic and powerful aswell, (such as with the Bird/Serpent War). I cannot wait, and I don't want to hear any reviews before buying it.

Romeo's sound is pretty "heavy" anyhow. But if the composition will be darker, I think it could be really interesting.

I doubt I'll bother with a preorder, I'll just make sure HMV get in a copy the day it comes out (they are usually good for that surprisingly) and pick it up in a break from college.
