In the last months I haven't listened to any superb album or band, I need some good music recomendation and discover any good band out there. Don't mind if it is from the past, there must be plenty of albums from the 70, 80, 90 that I've never listened to.

I'm not very keen on nu-metal. :erk: I'm more into european scene but all recommenadtions are welcome!

PAIN OF SALVATION - absolutely incredible Swedish prog-metal/rock (not nearly as stereotypically metal as Symphony X or even Dream Theater, for example, but definitely still metal), the specific awesomeness being their singer/songwriter/guitarist Daniel Gildenlow, who has an incredible gift for conveying powerful emotions. My favorite albums of theirs, in order, are One Hour by the Concrete Lake, Remedy Lane, The Perfect Element Part I, Entropia, Be, & Scarsick (haven't heard 12:5)

OH LAWDY.

I just found some bootlegs of Phil Lynott's post-Thin Lizzy band GRAND SLAM.
SHIT'S TIGHT Y'ALL.

you like heavy blues? Eric Sardinas' Black Pearls is great. Amazing slide dobro work.
