Any Tips for Rackmounting Stomp boxes?

Kirk you're a fucking genius! Props to Hogan as well for the similar idea. I have a different idea that I'm going to try with a small piece of plywood that I'm going to customize with my router and some zip ties, which will be bolted into the bottom of my rack. Not quite as cool as Kirk's method, but I think it will work well for my application. I'll post pics when the device is ready.

I was thinking of doing the rack shelf thing but I'm low on funds and I think mounting the pedals directly to the bottom of the case might gain me a bit of clearance for knob twiddling should the need arise. I'm contemplating mounting them in the rear of the rack though so I don't take up any potential rack space.

Pics shall be posted soon.

Heres my little mounting method:

Just a small piece of plywood which I routed with my Dremel, and some zip ties. Solid as fuck. Grabbed it by the NS-2 and gave it a good thrashing and everything is tight as a drum. Probably a bit of overkill, but I had already started the project before I saw the bike chain method.

I'll be bolting the board into the bottom of my SKB rack with some machine screws, some rubber spacers, 1 inch washers and some lock nuts. Probably towards the back so I don't take up any rackspaces.
