I played with a dude in a band were he had a pedal board with around 20 pedals. He was also the singer too, so most the time he wouldn't have the time or coordination to play sing and turn on and off pedals. Which means...
he needed more pedals and a roadie to operate them.

I am a total pedal guy. I only use Delay for solos and its really a low mix like 10% or some shit just to give it some body.

For me the more simple the better:
Guitar > Wha > TS9 > Amp > Loop> Chorus > Delay > Cab
