Anybody knows this SSl Clone?

Im thinking about buying this thing...I also will be able to test it and ship it back, if I dont like it.

Do anybody of you know something about this one?

Looks like a home made Gyraf one to me, ask them what kit it was from and then go have a chat with the guys over at the prodigy pro DIY forum or have a search there to find what you want to know

It just looks like an SSL clone, ask for pictures of the innards if you want to know anymore. The "turbo" mod makes it more similar to the real thing and we don't know if it has the old DBX VCA's or the new THAT chips.

I have seen some homemade clones made by people that don't know how to solder and there are solder blobs and it just looks bad so it's good to see the quality of soldering before buying anything that is a clone.

Wouldnt get that hung up on what chips they are to be honest.

@Brett yeah thats why i though Gyraf clone straight away as thats what he used in his original clone kit.

Actually i made a mistake, it wasnt Gyraf's one that used the Behringer vintage style meters is must have been one of the other guys, in the early stages of these kits being produced. ive definitely seen them used a lot on the SSL Clone kits.

I have recently bought a Prime SSL mix bus-type compressor and after doing some comparisons, it pretty much smokes the plugin emulations, I definately can recommend that one, can't say anything about the G though....

What about a DIY kit, would be much cheaper imo?!
Are any SSL-Kits out there?
