Oh please, he's not obliged to be polite or politicaly correct so he doesn't hurt a bunch of whiners. For fucks sake if you're that upset by something someone posts on the internet then I dread to think what'll happen when you get off the computer and go out in the real world.

Except in the real world people are actually more polite, if you're rude to the wrong guy in the real world, you'll get fisted in the face. Forums are often unnecessarily rude, and I don't know why, 'cause it's pretty dumb.

True in the context you're talking about but its not the same as the one I'm talking about. If you go to any form of audition and suck then you will get told so without remorse plain and simple. Blakkheim didn't even do that, he didn't e-mail everyone and tell them they're crap nor did he publish any list of names. So he didn't even tell them to their faces never mind publish in in a newspaper.

As for people being rude more on the net, well when no-one is going to slap you about for going "OMFG y00 like Shitewish, y00 is teh sux0rz" then people feel that somehow its magically ok for them to say that.

Getting told so face to face is actually preferrable to getting told so by seeing it written on a website for a band that you like, most people will feel that they were the ones that bloodbath felt sucked, and most likely, their friends too (if they were told ofc), overall, it's unnecessary and stupid.

Stupidity on the net is common, but some of us try.

Yeah I am glad Anders posted the entire list of everyone that auditioned, along with their e-mails, on the website and listed all the ones that suck so we can laugh at them too.

Way to piss on your fans! Why is it important that you have respect for them, because no band exists without their fans, even those that lack the talent to be in it.

if you got the nerve to say "i demolish mike and peter" and you suck, expect a comment mentioning how shitty you are,

blakkheim telling people they suck is no more childish than people saying "i demolish mike and peter"

Personally, I'm on pins and needles waiting for the shyte-collage Anders mentioned. It's death metal people! If someone sent in a shit audition and got told it was shit they should laugh it off and not think, "oh god! an allstar death metal band doesn't like my amateur pussy whispering". The contest specifications clearly indicated they wanted a growler on par with Mike n' Peter, and those that must have known that they were nowhere near that calibre should not have wasted the band's time.

I wanted to post something about this, but the two who posted before me just about sum my thoughts up. The band made certain requests of the auditions. If someone submitted a bad audition then it's either a) someone who thinks they're as good as mike & peter, b) a 'just for fun' entry or c) someone who disregarded the requirements of the audidtion but submitted anyway thinking they would have a chance. What was said on the main page was fair to all of these types of bad submissions.

Edit: I added a third bad submission type just to be complete

men !! they're suppoused to be professionals !!....

The audition was so godamned strange in the first place... a lot of the Bloodbath buiz has gone bananas... Bloodbath is no band, simple as that, hasnt been since the Breeding Death sessions. Things need to be sorted out, that's for sure. We all love our stockholm death-metal, but I dont want a circus-cabaret of session-members, a good band is a pack of friends, or soon-to-be friends, it's simple as that.

Why it was strange?

To me it was pretty much clear that an bloodbath "e-mail mp3 audition" would result in finding no-one, and heading for a already big name. Pherhaps thats a strange pre-judgement, but let's see what happens....

Christ, everyone has gone off on one over the last few days. I think we all need a joint and get things in perspective. Wait until the next bloodbath release (if there is one) then judge. As for the auditions, like baletempest said, noone was named or personally attacked. It was just stated that most of them were really bad. This could have been due to recording quality as well as bad vocals, you have to bare in mind that we only heard what was posted on the forum. I'm sure many more were emailed to bloodbath which may well have been aweful. The post may not have been most tactfully put but it was honest and not a sugar coated "try harder next time guys". Anywho thats just my view on it. \m/

listen up pal... we set up some rules, most were broken severely... i could even say many of those mp3s were a mockery to bloodbath...get it? and also... have u even heard the auditions? no? then shut yer mouth, go back and re-read what we said clearly before u pull the trigger. we actually thank n praise the worthy ones, while we discarded the jokes. thank u.

Well actually, i guarentee that the majority of the auditions good or bad were done because they were very passionate about the band. That love and respect for bloodbath shouldnt be pissed all over just because you had a good laugh at some of the applicants that probably tryed very hard. I love Both Katatonia and Bloodbath. But that humiliating people when they thought put a good effort in, just isnt cool.

After you record, you can hear if it sounds shit, can't you?
And the arrogance saying that you "slay" the two previous vocalists when you pull off a very good impression of a deflating balloon is too funny to be kept among a very select group of people.

Seriously, the 'play' button is not that far away from the 'record' button. And neither is 'delete'.
