anyone ever play Madison amps?

The newer ones are quite decent and don't suffer that hard from the hideous quality issues anymore, but still, there are so many different amps in that price league I'd take over a Divinity in a heartbeat...

I'm a Peavy fan, I don't care much for the 5150 II (only has a slight better clean channel sound) but the 5150 has a great tone.

It's one of my alltime favs, too. Very open and dynamic, great midrange, not so sterile.

I currently own Engl, Krank and Marshall heads but I wouldn't mind adding a 6505/5150 (or more likely the Bugera knock-off) to it at some point.

So VHT is now Fryette? WTF?

APPARENTLY.....

Steve Freyette (former owner of VHT) put the name VHT as colateral for a loan from a Chinese company called AXL. Without going into too much detail, Steve lost the name after some legal battles, and was forced to give up the name.

Now the VHT name and logo is all over this new companies lineup.

what if you were offered an endorsement and can get them for 60-70 percent off?

they don't suck, right...? what you guys are saying is that if you want to spend the 1,500 bucks, get a peavy or engl, right...but these are cool to if a good price was offered?

yeah I planned on trying them of course, I just wanted to put feelers out.

I just saw that some bands with pretty decent guitar tones use them, Into Eternity, Cryptopsy, The Absence, among others...so i wanted to see if people have had experience with the amps.
