i was thinkin about gettin one to record guitar and possibly vocals.

anyone have this? or is there somethin else thats good to get some decent guitar/vocal recordings?

I've liked every Line 6 product I've ever tried so that one is probably decent. Are you recording with a computer? If so and you're just looking for a good way to get guitar and vocals in you just need a pre-amp-type audio interface. There's lots of them out there. My band uses a M-Audio MobilePre USB and it works great. One thing to look for is if you have a mic that needs phantom power I don't think the Line6 Toneport will help you. Most of the better condenser mics on the market will need phantom power to work so be sure to check that out before buying anything.

TonePort UX2 does have phantom power. Not sure whether UX1 has it,
but the difference in price is so small it's rather silly buying a UX1 instead of an UX2.

Haven't tried toneport, but I have a guitarport which is roughly the same thing (but without mic support ofc),
and im very pleased with it. You get tons of functionality for your cash!
