Anyone have a Piccolo Snare sample? Or any really tight snare?

I just did a Reggae project with a pretty tight snare. I uploaded the raw WAV's for you: There's 2 top mics (57, 451), 57 on bottom. 2 overheads (neumann u67) and 2 room mics (coles 4038) all through API's. Cut 'em up and process em how you like!

Edit: Just saw you're in SD. I recorded these at Big Fish up in Encinitas. How's Signature doing? I did a few sessions there just after they got the 1608 but it's been a while....

I have one that I don't mind giving out since it got botched. I'll be re recording it sometime in the future in a different room.

It's a 6X10" popcorn, and it got fucked up somehow. The pitch of the drum wavered due to not having a snare stand available that would hold it (this drum was TINY).

Your on your own as far as picking out the sames that are fucked. I intend to eventually put out a snare sample library for sale like others and this drum will make the cut eventually but as it sits now it's not that steller.

here is an audio example (the snare is raw as it sounds through the mics and you can hear how the pitch is FUCKED):

Shifty Gentleman 6X10 popcorn.mp3

It is a one of a kind snare though. Hand made, not keller shell stuff.

Damn, my buddies got a Ludwig snare that is fucking EAR PIERCING but I don't have the proper gear to sample it and his room is pretty bad anyway.....

I have a Pearl Firecracker in TCI form, if that'll help at all. I'll dig it up as soon as I get in to the studio.

Drum pack in my signature has a Pork Pie that is pretty tight, I think it's 12" or 13", can't remember. I am going to be sampling a 10" Black Panther snare in a week or so. You can get just TCI format, WAV format, or the pack with both, whichever you need.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Big Fish is a real nice room. Signature is doing well, we are about to get two 4038s and two Korbys, besides that the only new gear we have procured since the 1608 is a Retro 176 (I love this compressor)
