I'm going to be getting a few things for my vocal chain and would like to know if anyone has had any problems or experience running a vocal mic into a tube pre (e.g. PreSonus Tube Pre) into a Channel Strip that isn't tube driven (e.g. DBX 286A) in this order, MIC -> TubePre -> DBX286A -> Interface... or even running it the other way around (mic -> DBX -> TubePre -> interface)
Do you think there would be problems with noise or phase or... anything really...
just asking because I can get both the tube pre (newest one) and the dbx for VERY cheap...
