Anyone heard of/listen to this Metal Blade band? Trioscapes..?

Definitely worth a listen. Experimental jazz trio with a saxophone, bass and metal/prog style drumming. Seriously awesome. There's a clear metal influence through a lot of it. I love it, it's so unique (as far as I'm aware.)

to me, metal is really just jazz with distortion anyways, so the fusion of the two seems pretty natural
