I've decided I would like to take an EMT course to get my EMT-B certification. I've been starting to develop an interest in the medical field for the last couple years now and more recently getting interested in Emergency medical services. I really would like to be someone that people can count on in an emergency. I've been working as a nursing assistant for the last year and enjoy helping people but would like to do more than what I am allowed to do as an aid which isn't much. I like being an EMT would be great next step. Even if it means just volunteering as an EMT at first. Is there anyone here who works as either an EMT, Paramedic, Firefigher or even nurse? What's it like and how were you able to go through schooling?
