Anyone know what amps Unearth uses?Mabe even have some settings?I've been trying for a while to get that sound but no luck.:ill:Those rythms are huge and wide. :OMG: Any thoughts?

the last album, both tracks (i believe) were recorded using a maxon boosted 5150 head, into a VHT fatbottom 4x12

Like someone posted above, they were Framus guys. When I saw them live, that had awesome tone. Framus Cobra heads and Framus Dragon cabs at that time. The Dragon cabs have V30's, so the Randall XL's seem fitting.

Now, they are using VHT Deliverance heads I believe, and VHT cabs. I think Buzz still uses a Cobra as a backup, but I think Ken's backup is a Voodoo Amps CP-100...Or, maybe it's vice versa.

Those guys change setups a lot it seems, as do a lot of modern metal bands these days.

they switched recently from using the cobras live...last time i saw them they were using the setup nate mentioned above

buz had a vht deliverance 120 head, with 4 vht deliverance cabs...and framus cobra as a backup

ken had the same vht head, and cabs...with the voodoo cp100 (modded jcm800) as backup

both, had the maxong OD's in their racks, but i can't say if they were using them or not...the vht heads sounded great tho..they have switched live rigs quite a bit tho, and sometimes they use their backup heads for no particular reason

Killswitch has a rotating lineup of rigs it seems, too. Recording wise, Cobrahead I think nailed it for Unearth. KsE's recorded tone was Maxon OD808 Boosted 5150 and OD808 boosted Framus Dragon amps. I belive the cabs were Dragon cabs, but it may have been another brand of V30 loaded 4x12's.

Live, KsE uses Framus Cobras, Dragons and Mesas.

I've seen them live and both times they used a Framus Cobra and a Mesa Recto. One time Adam D played the Mesa, Joel the Cobra...The next time it was switched around. Both times they were using Framus Dragon cabs, though.

None of these metalcore bands seem to have a firm touring rig, they switch it up and play different things all the time.
