Anyone provide an analog summing service around here? Once our next record is mixed, I'd like to sum it together through analog, to give it a little character... buuuuttt... I'm not exactly sure what kind of character it's going to give...
You could do the same thing yourself using VCC or Nebula to better effect than summing boxes. Unless you're stemming your record out across something like a 4k, with transformers and colourful circuitry, there's really no point.
What generally happens is that you trade off fidelity and clarity in order to gain glue and mid-focus. If you'd like to send me some stems of your current stuff I can Nebularize it for you, and you can hear the effect yourself.
Hmm. Maybe I'll throw some your way Ermz in a week or two then. I've got the Satson plugin which I think is great, and I didn't much rate VCC. I have Nebula, but have never really gotten anything useful out of it to be honest! I'm sure it's my fault and not Nebula.
I could do you a service like that.
i have a Dangerous 2-Bus and a Chandler Mini Mixer.
And it could be an option to pass it through one of my high end stereo compressors for some "glue".
Hi, I could make the summing of your material thru my 10ch tube mini desk (TLAudio) with some SSL Comp and Neve Eq inserted in the master bus if you want to. So I gladly could pick a stereo file or 5 stereo stems of your mix, just let me know, cheers!
