Anyone see TSO this tour?

Man, I really would die (ermmm, or at least pay a few 100$) to see this show. I've seen almost every possible TSO vid on Youtube and it looks like an awesome experience !!

Haven't seen them this tour yet, but we have seen them every year since they started touring. (except the one year they didn't come here) Our show this year is coming through next month.

Expect a giant rockin' christmas show with lights, lasers, pyro, and more. We love going every year. The videos and CD's don't do them justice. The live show is where it's at for them. One of the fun things is seeing the crowd. You will see metalheads with their Savatage shirts. Parents with the kids. Then you will see some older couples all dressed up like they are going to an actual orchestra. They are usually in for a suprise once the second half of the show starts. :headbang:

All I can say is sit back and enjoy. Hope you are bringing the family because it's a great show for that. And don't leave early!

I saw them some years ago and I really was surprised at the amount of pyro they use. Stage and light design were top notch. I got a little bored during the ballads but it's mostly a rocking show.

I saw them last year and it was awesome. One of the best shows I've seen and I've been to upwards of 300 concerts. Full laser show, full orchestra, fantastic sound mix.

They basically did the entire first album (Carol of the Bells, Mad Russian Xmas, O Come All Ye Faithful, etc.) with monologues in between. For the second full set they did a bunch of other hits like Wizard of Winter (the house lights song), and 2 Savatage: Believe and the instrumental before Hall of the Mountain King (Peter and the wolf?)

They had Jeff Plate, Skolnick and Chris Caffery who MC'd.

Anyways, Sixx, you'll really enjoy it.

Cool, thanks for the info. I'm taking my 15 year old son who has seen Motorhead, The Cult, KISS and now TSO with me.

I read somewhere there are DVD's coming or available already. Anyone has seen them ?
The quality of the 2009 promo seems very good, and now I just got a "big" TV, it would
be nice to see as the real thing will be hard for me to visit...

Would have liked to see them this year, but I missed the pre-sale & don't feel like paying the scalper prices for decent seats. Last time I saw them the seats were horrible, but still enjoyed the show a lot (what I could see of it at least)

Seen them like 7 times and met Jon Oliva in 2005..yes the mountain king..at a TSO show. It's such a kick ass time.

Saw them 11.22.09 at their early show and it was an experience!!! The lights, the special effects, the musicianship and the energy. Wow!!!!
My son had a blast this rivaled the KISS stage show that we saw earlier in the week. I was hoping to make it out this evening to see Stryper but obviously that didn't happen as I'm sitting around writing this...
