Anyone seen Transformers yet?

I was obsessed with the show when I was a kid, and I'm going to see the movie tonight, has anyone had a chance to see it? Any opinions?

I was loving the idea of a Transformers movie until they put Michael Bay on the project (and they are PROUD of it!). I guess I will just download it instead of going to the cinema, I´m sure that Mr. Bay will take a crap on the film.

I bet It has a garbage story but you know I think your eyes will love it! a lot of special FX.
I have seen the trailers I have to check it out!!!
I was obsessed myself with the show when I was a kid, we're talking about 20 years ago back in the first 80's!

i'm a sucker for the super big money action movies that they pitch come summer. it could have acting worth a damn and Will Smith all over it, and i'd still like it. and the more mindless the better. i think enough at work.

well, i just saw it and let me tell you, i like it a lot. I'm a huge Beast Wars/Beast Machine fan... well, it's based on the G1 series, but still like it!!!

Best accion movie of the year, no doubt!

I saw it and I think that although it takes a while to get going, it was actually a pretty good movie. The special effects were sick and it was actually pretty funny. If you have 2 1/2 hours to spare I'd suggest checking it out.

I'll admit I'm pretty pumped to see it too. Michael Bay may not be one to direct Merchant/Ivory pictures, but he can give you the best 2 1/2 hours of mindless entertainment you'd ever ask for. Plus, I got a soft spot for Bad Boys II.

Haven't seen the movie, but a coworker just gave me an "Optimus Lime" Starburst candy. Funny thing is, the bag and the other flavours in it make no reference to Transformers.

I saw it last night at 11:30... I thought it was fuckin sweet. I miss the soundtrack with Lion from the old animated movie though, ultimate cheese!! New one was great though

YES! The Lion version of the theme! Great stuff. Still gets regular play on my iPod.

Lion's Transformers theme is pure ownage. What was the deal with that band, I don't know anything else about them, some of the best cheesy power metal I've ever heard.

I just got home from the theater, and I thought it was halfway decent. They ruined a ton of stuff. The story was lame, Megatron looked really dumb. They all had mouths that looked like a bunch of rocks floating around, Soundwave was really lame, etc. All in all it would have been a good movie if they just called it "Action Robots from Space" or something. I would have thought they kinda ripped Transformers off a little bit, but eh, whatever.

I loved it. Ignore the lack of depth and you've got yourself a great action movie. Megan Fox is quite nice to look at too.

i thought it was decent but, a lot of the action sequences are way too complicated on a huge movie screen, you can hardly make out whats going on

Yes...Megan Fox is very good to look at. Towards the end of the movie she was looking better than the beginning imo.
