I just got back from V and it was...AMAZING!
Much better than I thought it was going to be, somewhat.....subversive perhaps in several ways.
Natalie Portman is waaaaaaaay hot also, which has nothing to do with the movie. The movie only went further to support something I already knew.

Fucking awesome movie, best I've seen in a long time. I can't help but think that the original writer's inspiration was what it would take to end the reign of a goverment like that in Orwell;s 1984.
As with the book mentioned, the messages of this movie are (obviously) quite relevant to our world today. Hopefully it opens some eyes.
I can't wait to see what O'Reily and co. have to say about this one next time I'm at work.

In the movie, the character Prothero, the tv man and former commander, reminded me exactly of Bill O'Reilly. but I did appreciate the many parallels to today's world. grim outlook heh
