Anyone using a BOSS CS 3 in front??

Any of you guys using the BOSS CS 3 in front of your Amp/pod ???

I "think" the Guitarist from "Man must Die" uses one in front of his POD PRO but im not sure of the benifits of this.

I used to do that. It did wonders for keeping the clean tones more even and it seemed to bring out a little more of the subtle stuff that might go unnoticed. I will probably get a nicer comp for my rack to leave on all the time. I'm just not a pedal guy.
