Ok, I did a project recently and I micd and triggered the snare. The trigger track (first time I've ever done it) had a lot of false triggers and double triggers. I don't know if there is any way to clean that up at the time of tracking, but anyways...
I ended up voluming up my trigger track so it triggered my sample more consistently. However, I also want it to have a touch more of natural response. So, is there any way to set up a sidechain to kind of do something similar to ducking on the trigger track, but more or less have the volume of it interact the same way as the mic'd track? Does that make sense? Instead of when the mic'd track is louder having the triggered track go quieter....have it loud when the micd snare hits harder and not as loud when the micd track isn't as loud.
