TGE has a heavier sound IMO, and I'm not just talking about the riffs.

Thats because of the bass sounds ... tehy are totally different... The dude from AE has more highs and not as much balls .... Then again the bands lacking balls "literally" in the vocal department now so i guess it makes sence .....

Im not likeint the new album AT ALLLLLLLLLLLL>.... Sounds a bit too much like carcass.... Not that i dont love carcass, but its been done already, if your gonna try and reinvent the band atleast move forward not 10 years backward ...
