Are you fucking kidding me?

Mine neither. Actually, I was big on pop-punk and alternative in 2000, and my friend got me into Slipknot around early 2001. Hype or no hype, I loved it then.

In fact, when I'm bored, I'll toss in the s/t to hear Wait and Bleed or Spit It Out(amazing ryhmes on that one).

Iowa was horrible, though. The worst metal album ever along with St. Anger.

I;m calling him a sheep because a great deal of Slipknot fans are mindless sheep that follow Slipknot simply because it's what's "IN in the metal scene right now", without even questioning the things Corey Says. I bet you if they made a song that said "rape your mother up the ass then cut her throat with a spoon," they would still like it. That doesn't go for all fans/semifans though... I was just being sarcastic there :)

I don't like Slipknot at all and I'll give you one of my many reasons. they have 9 people in the band. Immortal only had 3 people and they sounded a heluva lot better than a band with 9 people. You would think with that big a band, they would at least sound a tiny bit better, but i doesn't really work when 4 of them just jump around acting like they're banging on things. I used to like Slipknot for 2 weeks, but then I found an mp3 track someone recommended from Dimmu Borgir. After that, I dropped Slipknot and my music tastes matured to better things. if he can make something of the laughable 9 person mindfuck that is Slipknot, good for him. Just goes to show you simple things please simple minds...

umm so you want people to stop listening to shitknot so they can discover the bands you love. so then you can turn on the bands you love call them sellouts for having more than 15 fans. and then go find an even more elusive band so you can talk shit about the bands you used to like but no longer do? ahahah shut the fuck up. slip knot sucks but you swallow

whoah whoah whoah hold the fuckin phone here.
Where did I say I want to turn on them when they get more than 15 fans? I made no mention at all about something sucking because it is popular. when I said my musical tastes matured, I meant that my personal choice in music got more affected by the quality of the music instead of liking a band simply because they were 'so heavy.'

I said it once but I'll say it again... too many idiots on this forum to realize this...

Sit down you trolling assgoblin

hahaha. Dimmu Borgir is a joke. They're good at the classical influences, but the rest sucks. They should be making film music. Not to mention the fact that their music is boring and aren't original at all. You're talking about mindless fans, but I know that Dimmu Borgir fans are some of the worst trendy people of all.

I agree 100%

I see kids in Dimmu t-shirts.

trendy posers, it looks like the Nu-metal people moved onto poser black metal.

I don't measure the 'greatness' of a band by the total song. I look at guitar parts in songs, so whatever is the most technical stuff, I look for. Dimmu Borgir is extremely tight on the guitar (Galder) and I happen to love most of the things they've done. Yes, most of the new album DCA is monotonous, but it wasn't like that with PEM, EDT, GSG, and Stormblast. I do not wear or own any DB merchandise.

just 1 question real qucik... why do you hate a group of people because they are 'trendy' because more than 20 fans have DB t-shirts? thats a load of shit if I've ever heard one and very elitist.

the music may be boring to you, but you have to realize what is shit to one person may be gold to another person. you seem to not grasp this idea or want to.
