I saw this, and I thought it was hilarious. I really hope this ruins her career. She sucked enough as is...but to not even be able to reach that level of suckiness on her own...now THAT is pathetic.

What's bullshit is later she said that she had to lip-synch on SNL because her "voice was sore due to acid reflux disease." My friend said he saw her perform tonight on some awards show. She wasn't lip-synching, and she was hitting wrong notes right and left.

*EDIT* Oh, I forgot...I also read that she said "her voice was sore due to a rigorous promotional schedule." I thought, can you imagine how much she'd whine if she had to actually sing on a tour?

aye gavault is all i have to say to this whole fiasco, she done f&@^d up and then blames her band on it! oh sorry my band played the wrong song, yea b#tch well why not improv!??! oh thats right YOU HAVE NO TALENT AND YOUR CASHING IN ON YOUR SISTERS SUCESS (shes not much better mihgt i add)!!!!!!!!!!!! this makes me pissed because real musicians (like some of us here) sit around on the sidelines while this s#it runs rampant around the world, now i ask you is that fair? no but thats how the world works....<end rant>

Just think of this, we are experiencing something so great. Let those talentless camera-whores live thier life. Its allways the intelligent people who are mocked the most. Its one of life's paradox that we have to live with.

Perhaps if you were cute and bubbly, goth fiend, you'd get a contract as well.

But, I saw one performance last night during the RMAs - Destiny's Child. You want to talk lip synching... It is truly a farce this music business has become - isn't music for the ears, not for the eyes??? I always thought the explosives and flammables were for the eyes as an enhancement to the music to the ears. I guess those old glory days of Maiden and Dio and the like are long gone, now replaced with CD-listening parties at large stadiums and talented musicians playing hole-in-the-wall clubs. :erk:

Well said. Very well said.

Very true. Although at least there's one advantage to the hole-in-the-wall clubs...I imagine it keeps some musicians from developing a nasty, ungrateful attitude towards the fans because they have to face them much more directly.

Not to mention I would much rather see a musician I respected in a small venue where there can be a real connection between musician and audience than to be lost in the crowd in a giant, impersonal stadium.

BTW, I heard from someone well before this incident that the acid reflux disease is real. If that's the case, perhaps she oughtn't have been on SNL. Going ahead with it anyway was a poor decision, to say the least.

Ummmm, Jessica Simspon may be a ditz and a half but she does have a ridiculously good voice. It's powerful and dead on key all the time. Ashlee has a horrid voice, even the mega dose of studio doctoring didn't make it worth a damn. But Jessica is definitly a talented singer, no denying that.

The funny thing is that, I think she declares the cause of lip sync. as her voice being worn off because of the promoting stuff. I suggest her to go along with any good rock-metal band on tour. Like symphony x. Singing three hours day after day, and having no voice problems will make her head hit the ceeling :) (I hope you understand my terrible english)

But you gotta admit that she is a hot as hell chick. No offense :)
