this is a song i've wanted to cover for a long time, one of my favorite songs from this band, and one of my favorite solos by anders bjorer, I tried to go on some different attitude than the original song sound wise, but bring the original feel of the solo

awesome job! Love the song... really great job programming the drums too.

I feel the guitars need a smidge more low end... just a smidge! or maybe it's that the bass need to come up a hair... either way a hair of one or smidge of the other! LOL

haha the more i hear this the less i like the tones
i think for guitar i needed a bit less of the "MACHINEHEADSNEAP5150L33t" tone and some more swedish melodeath drive thingy.
kick is 10 mixed with 5 and snare is 5 if i remember correctly
and i know the violins suck haha
and if joeymusicguy is reading this tell me how the fuck do you made slate samples sound so well :erk:

sh*t this sound cool ! I know the song well, it's a great cover !

For me the snare sound huge, but it may be a little too much. But just a little.
EDIT : the last rolls of drums are a bit too strong in term of velocity. They don't sound natural, as if each tom was hit with the same strenght as when they are played alone. Other wise that's nice !

Well being the huge ATG fan that I am I must say that I'm very surprised that you changed the 6/8 feel beat to a 4/4. I'm specifically talking about the beat on the 0:37 mark and during the second verse. It should be snare on the beat every 3 8th notes. They only change it to a 4/4 feel at the very end (which you did). I also think you could've played a bit more with the tempo. Their drummer would have sudden tempo bursts which added to their "urgency" sound.

Sonically I think it sounds good. A little too harsh for my taste but good. I think you could round out some of the low frequencies with the bass a little more though. It almost sounded like a third guitar because of where it's sitting in the spectrum.

Overall, good job. :kickass:
