Been ages since I listened to this disc..... Broke out Athena's "New Religion?" today. I had forgotten how damn good this disc was. Maybe Fabio's best disc of all?

For over a decade this album has been sitting in my collection, collecting dust. I think a friend gave it to me way back in the early 2000s and I may have heard it partially back in the day. After seeing your post, I went ahead and put that on.

Thank you. Great "older school" progressive power metal! It reminds me of Angra, Dream Theater, a little Conception, a little Maiden... all with Lione on vocals!

I miss the hell out of this band! I actually enjoy the music on the first album ("Inside the Moon") a lot, though their original singer is pretty hard on the ears. "A New Religion" is undoubtedly my favorite album featuring Fabio Lione. I wish they would have re-recorded the songs from "Inside the Moon" with him. Admittedly, I never checked out their third and last album, but I heard it has less of the proggy leanings of the previous two. Considering that "A New Religion" isn't quite as proggy as "Inside the Moon," I guess it was just part of a natural progression. I'm glad you mentioned them, Sir Exar Kun, as I believe these guys were terribly overlooked.

Finally me and Roy together on one song! I was really happy to know that he liked the song and wanted to be part of this new Athena XIX record, he was free to improvise and to record his parts the way he wanted to. I just sent him the song with my vocals and let him freely add and sing in the moments he preferred to and I have to say that the combination is amazing! Our two voices combine very well! I'm sure that fans will love it! It's a really nice and cool song, with a great chorus in my opinion, one of the best tracks on this record and a perfect choice thinking about Roy's voice and style,
