ATM450 for rack toms - Which one(s) for floor toms?

Hi!!

I just bought three ATM450's mainly for toms miking (+ oh, acoustic gtrs...). These will be placed on all rack toms but I don't think they fit lower toms. The only mic I have for floor toms is an SM7b which is good but not my fave one for this purpose. What would you recommand to use to be in the same color as the ATM450's?

The D6 will give you a great 'excited'/'hyped' floor tom sound, which is kind of what the ATM450s are doing on the racks (lots of high end clarity, a certain 'closeness' to the top end). You could also use 450s on there, too, and mic the underside with something to add some more body as well.

I think the 450 works great on all kind of toms!
