:notworthy I will be V5's accomplice in your torture and murder of you do not go. Think of us poor brutal death metal starved people over here in Massachusetts. All we have to our credit is Shadows Fall and Killswitch Engage. :waah:

Why CDF? Why must you be 3000 miles away?

I live in Jersey and all we have is... emo.

Yea, I would attend this if I lived in CA, but I could tell with that many bands all in the same genre it would get boring quick, that's why I hate fests that are dedicated to own set sub-genre of metal.

New Jersey has TRUE METUHL like Attacker and Deadly Blessing. I would take these two old 80s bands over the entire Brutal Death genre. Old School DM > Brutal Death invariably.

Yea, but we bearly have any modern bands of quality (if we even have any)

Abazagorath, Arctic Flame, Evoken, Funebrarum, Hierophant, Inimical, Krieg, Malakis Reign, Mortal Decay, Overlorde, Sect, Symphony X

^ Various NJ bands from recent years that have been mentioned here at some point or another. Not saying I like all of them myself, but others do/might.

You have Digested Flesh, which coincedentally will be at the CDF.

Well obviously old school DM is better than brutal. I wouldn't dispute that. Sad to see you guys can't handle brutal DM though.

It's not a matter of "handling" Brutal Death Metal. It's not like I feel exhausted and overwhelmed by it. In fact, I find it boring. I can "handle" it, if by that you mean withstand the intensity. However, if you mean in terms of boredom, I guess you'd be right; I can't handle the boredom that ensues when I listen to it.

I think it's sad to see people actually pay for this generic nonsense. I bet if you had to listen to 10 songs by any of the bands on that list without being told what you are listening to you wouldn't even be able to tell which song belonged to which.

I agree with you about that generic bit, but that second bit is about as valid as retarded rednecks saying they can't differentiate between "my pals."
