Splat88, I've been trying to track you down for some time now. Maybe almost a year ago, well a really long time ago, I had posted on the Line 6 forums. You took one of my crappily recorded riffs and created something great tonewise, which was EXACTLY what I was looking for.

Anyways, at the time you sent me the treadplate patch and the two voxengo EQ plugin patches you used on it. I tried the patch, and didn't really sound nearly like you made it. The Voxengo plugins didnt ever load, so I am here a year later, after randomly listening to that mix the other day, to find out some info.

Here's your recorded song:

Now, this is the song I recorded, but as you can see, your mix is 100x better.

I must know, I must findout those Voxengo presets, as well as any patches or tips on how to moving towards achieving your level of skill. I know you get hounded by n00bs all the time, and I wouldn't consider myself a n00b, but I beg of your assistance.

You should get a new version of Voxengo CurveEQ to load his preset. But anyway, it´s not a preset that will make your mixes sound like Splatt´s mix. Hell, I got POD presets from Bulb, Andy Sneap, Splatt88, Joey Sturgis and nome of them could actually put me even closer to these guys tones.

Agreed... hell, Andy's patch sounded average on my setup for some reason, splatt's patches sound too thin over here, and bulb's sounds too tinny...

Whoa, must have missed this thread. Sorry. Here's the link to those original settings I gave you a while back. I don't use that patch anymore though (Treadplate Splat #1 Curve EQ file), way too thin for my liking now, although I did use that exact patch on the song Misplaced Experts which sounds fairly good on that particular track. I'm actually in the process of making a whole bunch of new patches with my PODxt (Gearbox plugin) and some new impulses I have created of my Marshall 1960A cabinets. One has T75s, the other Vintage 30's. Results are surprisingly pleasant, at least to my ears. I'll post them soon when this semester ends. School sucks.
