Too bad it's not Brabham. It would be weird for them to run without David Brabham driving for them. Although I think he's good enough to do the job, I don't think he'd give up his Acura gig in the ALMS.

Tomorrow's the big day. Will Ferrari, Mercedes-McLaren, Toyota and Renault be in F1 next year or not?
I kinda hope they do break away and leave Bernie and Max sitting in their own sandbox without any sand.

Holy crap! Have you guys heard?
Renault fired Flavio Briatore (Team Boss) and Pat Symonds (Technical Director), and are saying that they will not contest the charges that the FIA is bringing against them for Sigapore last year. So apparently, the team did tell Nelson Piquet, Jr. to crash intentionally. WOW!

Good riddance. Briatore is a scumbag.
And Nelson Piquet Jr. should have never tried F1. He sucks. He's one of the worst drivers ever, and he's as stuck up and cocky as his asshole father. I hate them.
And to think Piquet is praised in the world for being a champion and all. He was a douchebag.
If only he was half the driver Senna was. I miss him. RIP
I don't follow F1, but I am into NASCAR and the IRL. I'll be watching the race from Motegi, Japan on Friday night! Can't wait! GO DANICA GO!

I dont race the sims but I've been a huge fan of Forza for the XBox, its the MS answer to the Grand Turismo series. There are some really nice things you can do in the game like engine/drive train swaps, motor upgrades, weight reduction, and massive tuning options down to the tire pressure. The only thing I'm lacking is the this wheel setup, the Porsche 911 wheel $330 and it looks great.

I am. It should definitely be an interesting year. If Sauber is as strong as they look initially, and Williams has a decent car, we could see some epic battles on track. I still think it will end up being a battle between Vettel and Alonso though. Hamilton and Schumacher could also be right in there depending on their cars.

I agree with you. You know, originally I thought McLaren would be tough to beat. Then after a little consideration, it's mostly about Hamilton. Hamilton did in his first year more than Button had done in over 10 years of Formula 1. Sure, the car counts, but still...
I think Ferrari has the strongest team. Alonso and Massa are two of the most talented out there. Massa would've been the champion if it wasn't for that bullshit Renault pulled off. Schumacher is back, and that's always an extra reason to watch things closely. Vettel will be a champion soon, I feel. Not sure if this will be the year, but he'll get there.
Williams and Sauber look really strong indeed. So does Red Bull and Mercedes. You also have to keep an eye out for one of the newbies. Bruno Senna (Ayrton Senna's nephew) has already shown that he has a promising career in front of him. I hope that's the case.

Don't forget Hulkenberg, Petrov, DiGrassi, and Kobayashi! Those guys are all top-notch drivers.

Everybody's gonna make a big stink about how she does. Who cares? It's her first race in a new series. She won't win. She won't get a top 10. She's learning. That's what she's there for.
I'm really disappointed that she's going the NASCAR route. NASCAR doesn't need her to bring fans. Open-wheel racing does. Then again, open-wheel racing needs to change if they want fans. Now that Tony George is out, maybe they will and end up with a fighting chance of surviving.
Watching the ARCA race right now, the Wreckfest 200 is in full swing, what a joke!! (Check out highlights from the 2005 race, easily the worst driving ever displayed at Daytona).

How good is WRC going to be this year!!!? Kimi in the Red Bull Citroen, jr. team to Loeb but same car, hope he can impress
Was hoping to see my all time fave Jacques Villeneuve in some sort of racing this year, but nobody's taking a chance anymore 
Anyone catch any Dakar coverage this year? Robbie Gordon very impressive, even included a stage win despite only having 2WD..

I really don't get the point in Nascar when you got Formula 1 out there. To me, it's like paying $200 to go see Freedom Call when you got a Blind Guardian/Helloween concert with Michael Kiske as a guest and free beer.

I wish SpeedTV would still broadcast WRC. I love watching that (although I don't follow it as closely as I should). I don't know about Kimi though, in his very first try, all he did was knock a tree down with his car...
