Avantasia- Wastelands (with Kiske)

Just a few days left until release and I am PUMPED. I preordered the box set about 10 days ago, supposed to ship on Wednesday.

I found a website offering minute-long samples of all the tracks. If anyone wants the link, I'll post it.

I don't know where Jeff pre-ordered his from. But I pre-ordered mine from Nuclear Blast. I normally order the special editions from them. I have been trying to stay away from listening to the samples and waiting for the CDs, but I couldn't resist this thread. I think this song is pretty good and gives me hope on the new CDs.

I think the best song that Tobi did with Kiske is Judas at the Opera. I was actually driving the other night cranking that song. I would love to hear that live one day.

Yeah I know several reliable sellers that have it for sale at an average price of $20 for the box. Not quite sure why CDINZANE is charging $54.99 though. Strange.
 
Thanks for posting that - that guy has a lot of great stuff. In edition to the box set, I ordered the new Unleashed (he even had the digi version!) and Immolation for $9 a piece!
 
In my experience dealing with vendors on Ebay, they usually have the Mexican pressings of releases which are usually of cheaper quality. I've seen it firsthand with a few limited editions which I purchased in the past. The quality just does not compare with that of the European pressings. I personally am willing to pay more for the Euro pressings.

This is the exact reason why I normally order the limited edition versions through Nuclear Blast. I have been burned a few times. And not even on ebay but other online CD stores.

I thought the same thing when I was looking around to see what people were charging for this. $54.99 does seem pretty high. Especially when you can get it from Nuclear Blast directly for a cheaper price.

I *believe* I've purchased from this guy before and they were not Mexican versions.

I'd love to order more of the super sweet items from NB Germany, but the $30shipping fee hurts my cornhole. I'd have to spend on the upwards of 100 beans to make that shipping cost worthwhile. Plus the 3-4 times I *have* ordered form them, I think they used Ace Ventura's shipping company that he worked for because I've never received a package from them that was not damaged.

You're right on the shipping charges but I do like you suggested and place a large enough order. I knew this was coming out for awhile so I waited buying other CDs and just ordered them from NB. Plus they have some cool shirts that are hard to find here so with the shirts and CDs that I ordered it made the $30 worth it. In the past, a buddy of mine and I would put in an order together since it's a flat shipping charge and just split it.

I have never had an issue with damage packaging on any of my orders from them but that sucks you have. Were any of the items damaged?

That is the same guy that I ordered mine from. I couldn't find it anywhere cheaper. I am so stoked about this coming out though.

I had a couple cases that were broken - not a biggie. But on a split order with a friend, he ordered some sort of box set and it was pretty smashed up. I don't even remember if he returned it to them.
