awesome groove rock bands?

If were talking Journey, how about everything they did since Jonathan Cain & Perry joined the band ?
Yes, Journey is one of my favorite bands (top 5)... :kickass:
Marcus: wich songs on Raised on Radio do you like most ?

- I really can't say if I actually like one Journey album more (or THAT much more) than another. Like you said...pretty much anything since Cain and Perry joined the band is excellent!

- Steel Dragon rocks!

- And how can I forget...we burned a lot of gas cruising around jamming to this: Riot - "Thunder Steel"

Ooh, tough call man, they're all so good (which is why that album is my favorite, all their others have some stinkers/filler unfortunately, esp. Frontiers IMO :() - for RoR though, I guess the highlights to me are "Girl Can't Help it", "Be Good to Yourself", the title track (I LOVE that instrumental guitar/synth break), and "It Could've been you" (so groovy, and such a soaring guitar solo)

Well, I love every single track on RoR. About Frontiers, that album is in fact my favourite from their catalogue. The only one I skip some tracks is Generations.

As much as I like Boston, you don't exactly bang your head along to them. And the Cars were a pussy band!

Shit like the main verse riff in Whitesnake's 'still of the night' you can still bang your head to.

'Crank' or 'Powertrippin' by the almighty are also other good albums in this field. Half of Dr Feelgood by Motley Crue as well...

Can't believe I didn't think of this sooner:

Leatherwolf - "Street Ready" album

jump ahead to 1:45 for when the music really kicks in.

I'll put in a big vote for T-Ride. Man what a cool band but they came out just before the industry met Kurt Cobain and then threw musicianship out the window.

Uh! Nobody mentioned Mötley Crüe yet?! Or is that too obvious? I mean it doesn't get any groovier than Dr. Feelgood, does it? IMO Tommy Lee has got the best groove of all rock :D

Clutch.
+ I've been listening to a LOT of Primus while driving lately. The Brown Album and Frizzle Fry. All with the exception of the track "Is It Luck". I hate that song with a passion.
