Maybe not metal like Nevermore, but Full Blown Chaos's Wake The Demons album (tracked and mixed by Zeuss) has some killer5150/1960 tones in it, IMO...Actually sounds quite a bit different than most 5150 tones you hear these days.

Yeah, I didn't know if they used to Vintage cabs or the standard G12T-75 cabs. There's a bit in the Blackening DVD where Robb's ordering some new cabs, that's what I was thinking back to.

i believe so, i know for the blackening they only marshall cabs.

Actually, on all of their 3 albums. I don't know if they used the stock speakers or what, but I know they used it combined with some Behringer 4x12 cab.

yeah they used the marshall for a darker tone, and a berighner with jensens for more of a bright tone.

i wasnt sure if they used it for the new one.

I don't know if I'm reading this wrong, but those speakers are god awful. They sound like a medium-sized dutch man kneading the dough for a 3-layer chocolate cake at 3am on a Sunday.

From what I recall he [CJWall] allegedly scammed some guys for cash and then disappeared off the face of the earth. Either that or something happened to him. I've kind of wondered myself over the course of time.

CJ's fine, I talk to him often. I don't know about any scamming people for cash, but I recently bought something off this forum from him and I got it no problems. He seems like a very nice guy.

Because the way I distinctly recall it a band came on here claiming that he took their money and never gave them their mixes, and we never saw him on the boards after that. Nobody ever really explained the situation either.

pretty much sums up my feelings about that speaker...
but than I listen to DHIADW and just have to kneel before that majestic tone.
