Axe-Fx DI Recording Question

Hello everyone, I've heard a couple different opinions on this and I wanted to get it straight. When recording DI from the Axe-Fx to an interface, would I use two XLR to 1/4 inch cables from the BALANCED outputs of the Axe to the INSTRUMENT inputs on my interface? That is what I have gathered from reading a couple different forums, please correct me if I am wrong.

Nope, use the Line Inputs on your interface. Instrument is for Hi-Z inputs, Line is for Lo-Z/balanced input.

Okay, got it. But everything else is right? You record DI in stereo?

And should I go XLR to 1/4 cables? Or XLR to XLR?

i use one XLR cable, output of axefx to instrument input on my interface and works fine for me.

obviously select LINE instead of MIC input
