Ayreon

^ yes it is...

but the female vocals are amazing... except for james...

not much to the music either... its more about the whole picture/theme/concept...

when i first heard it i thought it was omfgamazing... now its "ok"

Na, Devin sings the whole chorus. I'm talking about mike's growls at the words

"A TRAVELLED LIE" "RAGE" "PAIN" "SALVATION".

It fits perfectly to my opinion..

And the cheese factor isn't as bad as you guys say

No no, you are wrong. Devin does all of that. I mean, he is Rage, doesn't it make sense that he screams that???
And aside from the fact that it doesn't sound like Akerfaldt at all and sounds exactly like Townsend, in the booklet, it shows that Rage is the one who sings that.
Akerfaldt only growls on the second cd.

But yeah, the album isn't amazing, but it's far from bad. It does what it's meant to do well. It has it's cheesier parts, but I think that Arjen is aware of that and enjoys it.
You just have to be in the mood for it.

But all the vocals on The Human Equation slay IMO, including LaBrie - probably his best performance. But the chick who sings Love is great as well.

Haha, don't worry man, it's fucking great.

Anyway, I heard news that Arjen is working on a new Ayreon album. I'm sooo excited for it.

The Human... is a very good album. I would start with that one. I don't really like the other ones. I actually like the Star One stuff although it's not Ayreon.

Heather Findlay of Mostly Autumn.

the problem with T.H.E. for me is, every singer/musician on it is awesome. But, they sound a lot better (with less cheese and better lyrics) in their own respective groups. So why would I listen to T.H.E when I can listen to those better bands instead?

XDDDD except for james... nice :D

Um, to me it was absolutly opposite. I didn't really like it at first, but after a few listens I just started liking it more and more

The Human Equation is a fucking brilliant album. Ayreon is so complex and vast, the cheesiness must be overlooked, it must simply be treated as composition and character portrayal, and the album does a marvellous job of that.

 at you thinking I'm going to come to your house and burn your Ayreon cds. If my personal opinion is that threatening you've got psychological issues to take care of. "let people like it"..... lmao.

Like whatever the hell you want.
