I have to say Alternative 4 never really clicked very well with me. I like it, just not as much as lots of Anathema fans do. All their albums are worthwhile though that's for sure.
Its a good album, although not my favourite of theirs, you can't deny 'Inner Silence' is genius though.

Yeah iirc that song was pretty good though it's been years since I listened to it. Actually I'll make a mental note of listening to Alternative 4 some time soon.

alternative 4 is a classic, come on everyone, show some respect. and that bad religion cover "better off dead" is fantastic too

I love Anathema. My favorite album is 'Eternity', but 'The Silent Enigma' is way up there. Really, I love all of their albums except 'Serenades'. I just could never get into that one.

I read somewhere on Vincent Cavanagh's twitter, something about November as a release date. And the new album will not be called Horizons, but something else. And he mentions stuff about a few more days left of recording too. http://twitter.com/VincentCavanagh
expected it earlier, hopefully comes in this year.
Isnt Steven Wilson mixing the album?
