Hey my friends :kickass:

Just wanna say Hello, I´m back! The last two weeks were absolutely phantatstic. I explored the country, played a lot of Golf and met some really nice people. I wanna start this thread with some pictures of the Irish landscape. The "Wicklow Mountains" ("Braveheart" was filmed there) is one of the most beautiful landscape I ever saw in my life. Here you go:

At the Ring of Kerry:

Haha yeah, exactly like you told me, John! I took your tip into account. Thank you! :) We had great weather nearly permanently, just one day with rain. More photos will follow in the next days for sure!

Dude haha what the fuck, I see you prefer Heineken  First 4 days we were in Dublin and visited some nice old pubs. And of course we drank a lot of Guiness. It flows down so great. It seems like not all Irish guys love Guiness that much, cause it´s pretty expensive as well.

Alcohol is pretty expensive overall in Ireland.
I was home to Galway last weekend and was shocked at just how little you get for your money back there.

And those are some nice pics btw :) its a great part of the country.
I find it amusing that tourists just love Ireland while I spent years wishing to get away.

Yeah dude, In this 2 weeks I nearly spent 1000 Euros just for drinking and cigarettes. Holy shit 8,50 Euro/package. Silly enough I started smoking again in Ireland  But where the alcohol flows, the smoke is not far away. Why did you leave Ireland?
Unfortunately I missed it to meet some Sneapsters this time. I see, there are some Irish dudes around. Hopefully the next time we can drink beer and play some golf, if you guys wanna join

Amazing pics Felix!

Thank you Marcus :)

Why did you leave Ireland?

We left so my Girlfriend could do her Masters course over here in Aberdeen.
But we had been wanting to get out for a long time.
There's no jobs, a shit economy and a bizarre ultra-conservative vibe there, and it feels like incompetence and idiocy are actively encouraged at all levels.

its kinda hard to pin it down to one particular reason, and its not the kind of thing you'd pick up on with a short visit.

As you've seen, its a lovely country to visit, literally nothing else like it on earth, but i wouldn't recommend living there for too long :)

Next time you visit you should head out west to the Connemara region, absolutely stunning part of the world.

That´s exactly what a close friend of mine said. He moved to Dublin but came back after only 4 months. I couldn´t understand why, as he was always tellin me how beautiful the girls and landscapes were. He said that the little annoying things were just stackin up to the point it was a nightmare to live there. I remember him so angry about little things like eating potato everyday, expensive drinks and girls listening to Rihanna´s Umbrella on their cellphones on the bus.

But looks like a gorgeous place to visit. If I ever go to the Wicklow Mountains I will keep listening to this song on repeat during the entire trip.

Dude, those pics look amazing. :D Really envy you!
I was in London with a few friends this month, we wanted to go to Ireland after that, just with our backbags, camping and hiking around for a week or two..
but 3 of us got a fucking bad cold and so we went home after ten days. Looks like we missed something far beyond beautiful. Shit shit shit
