So i'm making backtracks for my band, and there's one particular part where there's an 808 and a synth. Well, it's fine when i play back the original project file, however, when i save it for a backtrack (audio left, click right), and then play it back, the 808 distorts realllllyyyyyyy bad. Any tips on how i could stop the distorting?

Thanks!

How loud is the 808? Do you have mastering plugins on the master fader?

Usually with the 808 I have to turn the volume down on it. It may sound to low at first, but if you hear other mixes with an 808 you'll notice how low many producers set them.

...that happened to me on one of our bands backtracks. turn it down until the distortions is not audible anymore. it might clip on the track but put a limiter in the bus. that will do it. even if its clipping, when you play live its not gonna be noticeable

if the PA system is anywhere even close to decent you will be able to notice

Yeah, i really can't figure out why it's clipping but i'll try a limiter, and i'll try just simply turning it down. We're more than likely eventually gonna be running the 808 separately, but for now, this is what we got! :/ Thanks guys!
