A naked man was apprehended by police at about 11:05 p.m. in an alley behind a Kroger grocery store at Olentangy River Road and Ackerman Road, NewsChannel 4's John Ivanic reported. The apprehension came after another reported attack by the naked photographer.

Police had an unidentified person in custody. Police gave the man a white piece of plastic to cover himself, NewsChannel 4 reported.

Earlier in the evening, police said a woman was getting out of her car at the LeMans Village apartment complex along Dierker Road in the northwest part of the city when she was approached by a man wearing no clothing. The man reportedly took her picture and ran away. The man did not touch the woman.

It was the 39th reported attack linked to the suspect.

The naked photographer ambushes women while often wearing nothing but a baseball cap and a smile and snaps photographs of their shocked expressions.

Police said nearly 30 of the incidents have occurred in Columbus. The first reported incident occurred about 1.5 years ago in Gahanna, Ivanic reported.
