Bad Salad - Certainly I'm not the only one who's seen them on youtube

Not only do they make outstanding dream theater covers, but their original stuff isn't that bad either

While they played the Dream Theater tune well, it was more of a "copy" than a "cover" to me. They didn't really add anything to it. As such it paled in comparison to the original.

Their original tune, however, was good. I really enjoyed it. Hope to hear more from these guys in the future!

Are they a digital only band? A buddy of mine turned me on to them via YouTube before they had a singer. The stuff I've heard with the singer sounds really good...may have to pony up for an iTunes card and buy my first official digital album if it's not on CD.

With the festival now behind us, I now have a chnace to dig into a stack of new CDs that has been waiting on my attention. Bad Salad has produced a very good prog metal album with plenty of balls. Below is a preview video for Nemesis. There is certainly a nod to Rush but with more of a metal approach. Good stuff.
