Badass Soundtracks/ Scores (MANY, MANY VIDS)

I really like Clint Mansell's stuff. He did the music for Black Swan, A Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain… basically most of Darren Aronofsky's films.

-

Hans Zimmerman is great too. He did the soundtracks for The Lion King, The Dark Knight, Inception etc etc.

Thanks for the heads up on Mansell, I've been meaning to look into the Requiem soundtrack awhile and just keep forgetting.

The Dion Theme and Lords of the Realm were both sweet, although I have yet to play the games. And obviously Castlevania is always titties.

By the way.... this.

And this. Time for another play, I miss my puppy.

An interesting movie once you get past the lack of Michael Myers.

Speaking of Halloween.... there's a few gems on this soundtrack (not a score), including Tim Cappello's I Still Believe. But this track takes the cake.

^ for sure. Way too much falsetto going on there... but the more you watch the movie the more this song gets embedded in your skull. Eventually you start having a lot of fun with this sucker.

The Evil Dead musical comes to town every year, and I'm still not sure if I wanna see it or not. I hear mixed reviews from people.

This fuckin game. And this fuckin song.

^ The Evil Dead musical can only be pure brilliance! I've never been myself, but I do have the album and it's a whole lot of fun. Be sure to sit in the 'splatter zone' where you get a poncho and completely drenched in whatever's going for fake blood these days.

Posted this in the vinyl thread but reviving this one. Lady at my favorite record haunt had them playing (on a gorgeous bronze piece), they did the whole soundtrack I guess.

"A gun-slinging preacher returns to the debaucherous town of Playa Diablo seeking revenge from the notorious scorpion-venom drinking bandito El Sobero - lead outlaw and number one bad guy. El Sobero and his band of bad banditos are also returning to Playa Diablo seeking their own revenge against the town sheriff. With the Bounty Hunter dragging up slowly behind there is sure to be a confrontation of Biblical proportions as they all meet in the circle of death."

Also, this excellent project does jazz covers of the Contra OST. They're called Contraband. Clever dudes, great stuff.
