You sure you don't mean Gene Simmons from KISS? The hard rock band from the 70s/80/s. Because that's the only thing that would come close to what you are describing.

I'm pretty sure this is the band.
Now, was Sting in this band before he was in the Police, or after? Did his wrestling injuries affect his vocal performance, resulting in his less-than0manly performance in his subsequent albums?
You sure? I have a degree in economics, an MBA from a top university, and a PhD in Decisional Information Science, but this band is identification is the most challenging thing I have had to solve in a long time. Guess I should try and quit drinking. Again.
That is the problem. Every time I drink, I want to listen to my dad's music (possibly The Village People and/or KISS). If I could just get a straight answer as to the name of this band, would be very grateful!!!
